Surf lessons in Kuta, Lombok

Wear comfortable, preferably tight-fitting swimwear and bring a towel. We provide everything else you need, including your surfboard, leash and a long-sleeve UV-protective rash guard. After your lesson, fresh water is available to rinse off.

You can meet us directly at Tanjung Aan Beach, or choose our pick-up service from your hotel in Kuta Lombok. We can also meet at Mandalika Bazaar if that’s more convenient. We’ll confirm your pick-up or meeting point and exact time before your lesson.

No, all our surf lessons are by booking only. The best time to surf depends on the tide, swell, conditions and your surfing level. Booking in advance allows us to plan your session at the most suitable time and make sure a surf coach is available.

A surf lesson lasts a maximum of 2 hours from the moment you arrive at the beach. This includes beach instruction, safety guidance and your time in the water. Travel time from Kuta is not included in your lesson time.

Most lessons take place at Tanjung Aan, our main surf spot near Kuta Lombok. Depending on your surfing level and the conditions, we may also surf at Gerupuk when it offers a better option for your session.

Yes. From Tanjung Aan Beach, we take a local boat to the surf spot. The boat ride is already included in the price of your surf lesson, so there are no additional boat fees. We strongly recommend taking the boat rather than paddling out. It saves your energy for the actual surf session and gets you safely and comfortably to the surf spot.

Yes! Our kids surf lessons in Lombok at Tanjung Aan are available from 5 years old. Young children can start with a tandem ride together with an instructor, allowing them to experience surfing safely before progressing to their own board.

Payment is made in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) cash when you arrive. Please make sure to bring enough cash with you, as we do not accept card payments at the surf spot.

Yes! We offer pick-up and drop-off from hotels in Kuta Lombok, with space for up to 4 surfers. We can also meet you at Mandalika Bazaar if that’s more convenient. Surf lesson times depend on the tide, swell, conditions and your surfing level. We confirm your exact starting time 2 to 3 days before your lesson, so we can choose a suitable time for your session.

You can cancel your surf lesson free of charge up to 24 hours before your lesson. As payment is made when you arrive, there is normally no advance payment to refund. Please let us know as early as possible if your plans change.

Tanjung Aan is only around 15 minutes by car or scooter from Kuta Lombok. You can meet us directly at the beach or book our pick-up and drop-off service from your hotel in Kuta.

Yes! Our meeting point at Tanjung Aan has a local beachfront restaurant where you can enjoy Indonesian food, cold drinks and fresh coconuts before or after your surf lesson.

Absolutely. There are sunbeds at our beachfront restaurant, so you can relax and enjoy the beach after your lesson. It’s also perfect for partners, friends or family who want to come along but don’t want to surf.

Of course! Non-surfing partners, friends and family are welcome to join. They can relax at the beachfront restaurant, enjoy some food or a drink and spend time at the beach while you surf.
