Almost 9 o'clock, I feel healthy tension. I will soon have my first surf lesson at Surf With Aldo Bali.  A few minutes before 9 am the car pulls up and I and Aldo drive to the beach in Canggu.

I get a shirt and together we walk to the place where I am taught how to surf. Aldo takes the time for you, explains everything calmly and gives you the space to ask questions. And then it really happens, into the water!  The feeling, the freedom you experience on that surfboard, is fantastic and I understand very well that people want to do this every day.  I myself was quite tired after 2 hours on the water, that paddling is quite tough for the first time!  
 

Aldo gives you the confidence that you can do it on the water! He gives you tips, a push if it is necessary to catch the right wave and also enjoys the moment of success when you are actually on the board!  “Do it with your heart, not thinking”, are words he said to me on the water and those were words that were the key for me to be able to enjoy this new and cool experience on the water.  the waves of the sea in Bali.
